Are you enjoying our lovely Texas spring? I noticed the bluebonnets popping up on the side of the road this week.  I am SO excited! Brad and I are going on a photo expedition this week to find the BEST spots.

That will likely be my last break until after DFW Fiber Fest.  Yes, we will have our booth there again this year.  You can look for us across from our friends at Brooks Farm Yarns.  We are bringing NEARLY the entire shop with us, so it is going to be much more packed than before.  Our latest yarns will be on display and (with all this furiously fast knitting going on) hopefully you will see some lovely samples knit up.

We have gotten in all of the colors of Ty-Dy Cotton from Knit One, Crochet Too.  This is a fabulous yarn, worsted weight and 100% cotton.  The array of patterns is lovely and I have already finished my very own Bella Cardigan!  I wore it to the Handknitter’s Guild of North Central Texas meeting Tuesday night, it’s the perfect weight for our Texas springs and I can see that it will be a welcome addition to my summer wardrobe.  I spoke with Joyce at K1C2 today in lovely Windham, Maine when I called to reorder some of our more popular colors.  She tells me that it was 27 degrees there today and they had just had more snowfall.  SO, while you enjoy your spring knits and lovely warm days, think of Joyce.

I am hoping that by the time the weekend is over I will have finished my latest sweater which is knit out of Kollage’s Creamy.  This is a milk protein and cotton blend and it feels amazing! I got to try it on for the first time and it feels like that favorite Tshirt you have worn a billion times and can’t bear to part with… one more sleeve and a neckline to go.  The end is in sight.

If you come by the studio this weekend be sure to check out both sweaters and all the other new fun stuff that has arrived.  Mark your calendars for April 8-10th for DFW FiberFest and be sure to stop by the booth to say HI!
