Happy Fall! Doesn’t that sound lovely? Our DFW Yarn Crawl is over, it is was awesome seeing many of you at TUPPS. Thank you for all your kind words and hugs. I am doing better than good, my travel and teaching schedule continues to fill and maybe you have noticed my designs are still going strong.
This month I am beyond pleased to announce the release of my first book! Yes, all of you who have been pushing me – I was not ignoring you. This book is all about exploring knitting with bamboo yarns. It should be here, in my hands, by the end of the month. You can order yours now if you’d like. For those of you who like advance info, good on you for following my adventures online! You got a chance to preorder the book. I cannot believe it, but over 1/3 of the books I ordered are already sold!!! You are amazing and I appreciate every one of you.
I am getting ready to hit the road for the next couple of months (with brief stops back home to see my family and wash clothes), so be sure you follow me on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter to keep up with the latest. I’ll be in Longmont and Denver Colorado to celebrate the release of Knitting with Bamboo Yarns with the Lambshoppe in Denver and the Longmont Shop. Please contact the shop if you are interested in coming to the trunk shows or attending the cast on parties I am hosting for my Nexilis Shawl. I will also have a trunk show with Jennifer Miller of Theodora’s Pearls at both locations and copies of my book will be available. From there, I am off to Breckenridge to teach at the Lamb’s on the Run Retreat with some of the biggest names around. I can’t believe it!
I will be presenting Skein Management at the Arlington Handknitter’s Guild on October 23rd and then the end of October will see me in Michigan and in early November I will be teaching at a retreat for Skeins on Main in Rochester, Michigan. Again, I will have a trunk show of patterns and books with me.
If you are missing time hanging out with the Fairy, I HIGHLY suggest you consider joining me at the Winter Fun Retreat in February in Fort Worth. Mary and I are working hard at making this year’s retreat bigger and better and we would LOVE to see you there. Registration opens in early October, so be sure to sign up for the mailing list from the website below.
Don’t forget, you can always reach me to schedule a private lesson, book a class or find out where I am headed next by emailing me or joining our mail list.
Knit on, friends! Adventure awaits…
The Lambs on the Run retreat with the Longmont Yarn Shoppe features some of the biggest names in knitting today- Ann Budd, Norah Gaughan and Romi Hill as well as myself and Jennifer Miller of Theodora’s Pearls, all teaching at a very intimate (lots of smaller classes) retreat at a luxury resort in beautiful Breckenridge. If you sign up before July 1 (hurry, hurry!) you can get in on the payment plan option and break your retreat into payments.
