Horton demolishes a bridge…

25094-Clipart-Illustration-Of-A-Working-Orange-Man-Wearing-A-Vest-And-Hardhat-Standing-In-A-Hole-While-Digging-With-A-Shovel-In-A-Construction-ZoneI feel kind of like a character from Whoville today.  We are here, we are here, we are HERE!!!

The highway department is going to demolish the railroad bridge over 360 at Division street this weekend.  You can follow this map to get your way around the official detour OR you can come up Collins Street in Arlington all the way to Green Oaks and across OR you can come up Hwy 161 from I-20 to I-30 and then follow the frontage road from I-30 to Carrier Pkwy.

All of this extended tour of Arlington and Grand Prairie will only affect you if you are coming up from the south.  If you are coming from the North or from I-30 then you are above the high hilarity and you are totally good to go!

The plan is for this fun to begin this evening and last through Monday morning.  We will be keeping our normal business hours and all classes will happen as scheduled.  You might want to allow some extra travel time so you can truly appreciate the hard work of our TXdot folks.  Personally, I will sit in my car and be glad of the air conditioning!
