Thanksgiving Weekend at Knitting Fairy
For many people it seems the rush from Thanksgiving to the New Year is all about buying – but to ME, the time between the end of November and January 1st is more about telling the people in my life how much I love and appreciate them. I do this in two ways – I cook for them, a lot, and I knit. Hats, socks, afghans, this year – new Christmas stockings for my daughter’s new family, and yes, I even knit a sweater or two.
I would like to invite you to come by the shop Thanksgiving weekend. We don’t got crazy with decorations and music and there are no special hours. Just come knit or crochet with us – we’ll be making fresh cookies all weekend AND we will have something extra special this year – the Monday craft group from St. Barnabas Episcopal Church of Denton will be here with their reprisal of their wildly successful “Holiday Craft Bazaar” on Friday, November 27th through Sunday, November 29th 10am to 5pm. All proceeds from their sales go directly to their community outreach fund, which last year helped us provide the materials to make three resonance boards for deaf/blind children!
Thank you for all your love and support – our friends and family make the holidays special.
