New stuff – you asked for it!

I have in front of me a BIG box that I have had many requests for in the past year. Yes, I have heard you and we are now carrying Cascade 220 Superwash!!! I have 10 colors to start with more on the way. We also have the 60 quick baby knits books and 60 quick knits books as well as Knitting MochiMochi and Nicky Epstein’s Knitting Block by Block to inspire you. Come check it out, it’s the holiday weekend and you deserve some new yarn.

Feed Your Creativity

Knitting Fairy is proud to be a part of Kollage Yarn’s Feed Your Creativity program. The first kit has arrived for subscribers and Cathe Hubbard gets the Speedy Knitter award for being the first one to finish her hat! Isn’t it beautiful? Any remaining kits from our allotment will become available to the public on August 28th.

Dream in Color

I am SO totally excited! I unpacked a box of Dream in Color Smooshy today. We now have all 11 of the Fire Scorched colors in stock. These are all semi-solid colors with black undertones and they are, indeed, dreamy! The Smooshy is a fingering weight yarn perfect for socks, shawls and other yummy projects. Better yet? They are all 100% Australian Merino, spun and hand-dyed right here in the USA! Even Brad was in here picking out his favorite colors earlier… was that a hint for socks?

Anniversary Party – Yarn Tasting

Are you ready? We are! We are hosting a Yarn Tasting this coming Thursday evening (July 7th) from 6-9pm.  You do not need to be here at straight up 6 to play, just arrive when you wish.  There are a ton of new yarns for you to test drive, goodies to sample and fun to be had.  We will be doing door prize drawings during the event, Grand Prize is a Signature Circular Needle! You need not be present to win, but you do need to come in during the event and fill out your entry form.  Of course, there are other prizes too…

We will have an entire show booth FULL of yarn from our friends at Brooks Farm Yarn and a sampling from the good folks at Buffalo Gold too!  You are not going to believe what we can do to a photography studio with yarn… (hehehe, poor Brad.) Yes, we are taking over his side of the building and turning it into MORE YARN SHOP for the weekend.  Ever wonder if fiber people could take over the world? This may be the start!

The lovely Sarah Vendel will be here representing several of the companies we carry in the shop.  She can’t wait to meet you and answer your questions! She is bringing a trunk show of the designs from the Debbie Macomber line of yarns and other goodness from Universal Yarns.

There is going to be so much to see and do that you are going to want to come back.  GOOD! We will be stitchin’ at the studio on Friday from 12-5, basking in the afterglow of the yarn tasting and gearing up for the BBQ on Saturday, but more on that tomorrow…

Prize winners will be notified and have 30 days to pick up their prizes.

We are also thrilled to be participating in the Feed Your Creativity Program for 2011/12! Each month we will have a different kit from Kollage featuring a new yarn and special patterns.  The way to get your kit is to sign up in advance to reserve one or be here when the box is opened! We will have a special “opening” on the last Sunday of each month for kits that have not been reserved in advance.  Reserved kits are filled first and you will be called when your kit comes in.
