I am working on setting up more classes and more hours that our showroom is open to the public.  We are there on Thursdays from 1-9, please feel free to call or come by.  The showroom is always open during Stitchin’ at the Studio days and we welcome you to come browse at your leisure.  Feel free to drop me a note (alissa@knittingfairy.com) if there is a time you would like to come by, I will make arrangements to meet you!  In the neighborhood? Drop by and see if we are there! We often are and willing welcome anyone who shows up.

Thank you to Betty Kay! She stepped in and opened the studio for me this Sunday while I traveled to Guthrie, OK at the last minute to fill in for an ailing Sally Melville (glup!)  I had a fantastic time at the SWAK KnitOut 2010 and I hear you guys had fun without me.  I will be back on the 16th for sure, but my kids want to take me out on Mother’s day.  How can you say no to that?

Our wonderful friends at Brooks Farm Yarn had a great couple of shows (Stitches South and MD Sheep and Wool) and actually ran out of inventory of some of our patterns! For those who might be looking, you can find most of the Knitting Fairy patterns for Brooks Farm Yarn HERE.  I say most, the very latest ones are not up yet (Triangulum and Deep Ribs) but if you drop me an email (alissa@knittingfairy.com) and tell me what you would like I can send you a specific invoice with those items included.  As soon as Brad returns from his Texas School he will get them up on the website as well, but with my leaving unexpectedly and his planned week away it just didn’t happen before I left.

Our shipment of Namaste Bags is on it’s way! These are currently available in the showroom only, so come by and see what’s new next week.

Stitchin’ at the Studio

Well, it’s been a while, but we are back at it this Sunday from 1-4pm.  Won’t you join us for a lovely afternoon of needlework and friends? The coffee and tea are waiting for you.

DFW Fiberfest was a great sucess and we sold a lot of our goodies.  Fear not! The boxes are once again arriving daily to restock the shelves.  We took advantage of having everything emptied out of the showroom for FF and did a little re-arranging as we restocked too.

Added to the showroom are the Accidental Knitter hand-dyed yarns.  Come by and check out the selection, it’s going fast! Patrice (the Accidental Knitter) has relocated to Michigan and we have the remains of her inventory.  Hopefully she will be dyeing again soon but what is here is 25% off the marked price.

We did sell out of most all the Namaste’ goodies.  We have re-ordered and expect the newest shipment in early May.  If there was something you wanted it is NOT too late to get your requests in for this shipment.  Call or email today!

zephyr1We also managed to find some new yarns to offer for your fibery pleasure, Jaggerspun Zephyr Laceweight in 18 colors. $9.95/560 yard ball/50 grams this gorgeous yarn is 50% fine grade Merino wool and 50% Chinese Tussah silk. Come by and see the lace shawls that have been knitted in this yarn that we have on display.zephyr2

Just arriving in the store today (showroom only, not available online at this time) are Namaste Bags! We are very pleased to offer the Namaste line of products.  This small, family owned California business produces some of Alissa’s all time favorite bags.  How could we NOT carry them? We currently have Monroe Bags, Hermosa Bags, Wallets and Circular Needle Cases.  Anything we do not have in stock we are happy to order for you!

Also in this week are little enameled pins by Sweet Little Things. Starting as low as $4 each, these make a great gift for all your fibery friends!

We will be Stitchin’ at the Studio this Sunday from 1-4pm, so plan to come by and preview (and preshop!) the new goodies before DFW FiberFest comes around April 9-11.

Please note, we are NOT Stitchin’ at the Studio April 3rd (Easter Sunday) and April 11th (DFW FiberFest).
