Tomorrow evening from 7-9pm we have our Drop-In Knitting Class.  Just $10 gets you help on any knitting project, no reservations required.

Saturday is our final Knitting with Beads class, next up – The Wonderful Wallaby.  A hooded (or not) sweatshirt type pullover sized for the whole family.

Knit with Beads! – openings

  • Posted on August 6, 2010 at 12:57 pm

After further class rearranging, we now have 2 openings in the 1-3pm Knit with Beads class which starts on August 14th and continues on August 21 and 28th.

We will be making a sampler piece first that will teach you 4 different ways to place beads into your knitting and then, in week two we will be starting your beaded shawl. If you are a beginning knitter or just want something simple to make I would suggest you try our Triangulum shawl.

Feeling a bit more brave but wanting something still kind of easy to follow? Try out the Shoulder Bling Shawl.

August 5-8

  • Posted on August 5, 2010 at 11:06 am

It’s kind of a quiet day here at the studio so I thought I would take a minute to update you on things that are happening this week.
Today I am putting the finishing touches on a program for the Bluebonnet Knitting Guild on the Tubular Cast On. A very nifty start to your project and well worth learning if you haven’t yet.
Tonight, August 4th we have our Drop-in Knitting Class from 7-9pm. Just $10/person to get help on any project you can think up!

Friday is inventory restocking day, so those boxes and packages that have arrived this week will be cracked open and put out for sale. Be the first to see what’s new.

Saturday is open this week. Too hot to go do much but still looking for SOMETHING to do? Come on down and sit around out table. The air conditioning is going, the tea is cold and the company is always the best here at the Knitting Fairy Yarn Studio!

Sunday is our Stitchin’ at the Studio. We have a fabulous group of stitchers who gather here on Sundays and enjoy each others company. This is the perfect time to bring that totally boring stuff, like sewing things together and watch the time fly while you get something done!

I do have two spaces that have become available in the Knitting with Beads Class from 4-6pm on August 14, 21 and 28th. If you were disappointed when these classes filled so quickly then call the studio now at (214)412-2889 and reserve your spot! Class size is limited.
